Basic Tracking

If you just want to use SleepBot as a sleep journal, simply punch-in when you go to sleep and punch out when you wake up. You do not need to even leave your phone on if you do not use any of the advanced tracking features. When you punch out, you will be able to rate your sleep and rate some notes.

Sound Tracking (Android 2.2+)

You can enable sound tracking option on the home screen. Sound tracking allows SleepBot to record sounds at night that's above a certain threshold and playback the sounds  that are above the threshold after you punch out. This way SleepBot will use minimal spaces on the device. You can view the detail graph with voice playbacks by tapping on the graphs on the entries page. You should plug your device into a charger if you choose to enable sound tracking as they will usually take a good amount of battery. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the threshold in the settings.

Movement Tracking (Android 2.2+)

You can enable movement tracking option on the home screen. Movement tracking allows SleepBot to record movements at night. You can view the the movement and the detailed graph on the entries page and by tapping on the graphs on the page. Movement tracking may require you to leave the screen on on certain devices. You can disable the requirement in Settings->"Screen On". You can also adjust the sensitivity of the threshold in the settings.

Smart Alarm (Android 2.2+)

Smart Alarm works by combining the SleepBot built-in alarm and movement tracking. It will use the data from movement tracking (if movement tracking is not on, it will be turned on when it gets into the Smart Alarm range) to determine your sleep cycle stage and try it's best to wake you up during a light sleep cycle stage. You can adjust the the settings for the Smart Alarm range in settings.
